ADOPT A FAMILY
The Methuen Arlington Neighborhood, Inc. organizes an "Adopt a Family" program for families that are struggling during the holidays. The information for each child is provided to a sponsor, who in turn purchases the three items the child would like for Christmas. The items most asked for from the children are school supplies, strategic games, and warm clothing. There is an average of 150 children that are recipients of this terrific program.
ANNUAL SPRING CLEANUP
Residents of the neighborhood participate in the city wide Annual Spring Clean Up. Over 250 residents come together to clean the streets to help beautify the neighborhood. T-shirts and a cookout are provided by the Mayor to all participants to thank the volunteers for their help.
